It was a fascinating place indeed, with its mixture of mosques and crimson Moorish palaces overlooked by snow-capped mountains. I was intrigued by the brash colour of bazaar spices, the lilting call of the muezzin, the scent of mint tea and the zellige tilework made from individually chiselled geometric tiles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I kept travelling, visiting Jordan, Malaysia, Turkey, Tunisia and Indonesia. Upon looking at mosques, madrasas, palaces, courtyards and gardens, one cannot but feel a sense of awe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I had to have a piece of that beauty on my home walls!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">That&#8217;s why I founded\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"_e75a791d-denali-editor-page-rtfLink\" href=\"\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Moorish<\/span><\/em><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to share the divine beauty of Islamic art with you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Art is the mirror of a culture, and the art of the Islamic world reflects its cultural values and reveals the way Muslims view the spiritual realm and the universe<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Islamic art isn&#8217;t restricted to North Africa, Andalusia or specific religious work &#8211; but includes all the artistic traditions in Muslim culture.
